SWEET BEGINNINGS: Anna and Ryan met during Christmas break Anna’s junior year of college through a mutual friend, and the circumstances were kind of funny. It was late, raining, and Ryan lived on the other side of town and Anna’s friend, Heather, invited him and a group of his roommates over to swim. Ryan’s roommates declined the offer, but for whatever reason he decided to come anyway. Ryan asked Anna out a few days later, and claims that on their first date, he started saving for her ring!
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Anna’s parent’s backyard is a pretty special place for Anna and Ryan. It’s where they met, and a place they spent a lot of time getting to know each other. The yard backs into a greenbelt, and so when the moment came for Ryan to propose, they went on a walk until they reached a little platform he built overlooking a waterfall and the beautiful open land. There, Ryan got down on one knee and asked Anna to marry him a few yards away from the place they first met.
THE SETTING: Winfield Inn blew Anna and Ryan away with its lush grounds of green trees and they were amazed with the vintage style mansion centered on property. They loved the reception areas and said that the wedding coordinators at Winfield Inn were incredible!
EASY DECISIONS: Anna and Ryan had an incredible first impression of Winfield Inn, but were sold knowing how versatile the beautiful property was and were able to use the entire space to create the vision they had for their wedding. From getting married on the lawn, to the cocktail hour on the porch, and the reception in the pavilion –it was the perfect fit for Anna and Ryan.
