An Organic Wedding Absolutely Full of Romance Held at Camp Lucy

Planned by Lotus Events, this organic wedding was the definition of a romantic affair! Lauren and Kyle’s vision for their wedding centered on family and friends – they wanted for their wedding day to feel like a giant family reunion in a beautiful setting that felt like home. The outdoor ceremony space of Sacred Oaks at Camp Lucy reminded Lauren of the great oak tree in her back yard growing up in Connecticut, so the Austin venue made a perfect fit for this pair. Guests got the wedding memo in the form of invitation suites designed by Owl & Envelope in shades of olive and sage that have a forest feel to them, and we love the beautiful floral designs paired with lovely scripted calligraphy. Lauren and Kyle opted for a first look, and the groom’s reactions did not disappoint – cue all the happy tears! In a reception reminiscent of an ancient feast underneath the venue’s high wooden ceilings and chandelier, the bride and groom made their grand entrance, then headed straight into their first dance before settling into a delicious dinner catered by Whim Hospitality and speeches. From bartending and lighting to rentals, decor and organic floral design, Whim Hospitality covered it all and then some! The musicians of Plush Party Band played three sets, with each one building upon the energy of the last and keeping the dance floor packed all night. Getting people involved and moving early in the night is at the top of their priority list and guests loved getting the opportunity to join them on stage for a rendition of “Shout.” There are so many sentimental moments to be seen throughout this organic wedding, all captured by Nikk Nguyen Photo.
