Jean and Jonathan’s paths crossed after a University of Texas football game. A year later, they started hanging out more and became close friends. Jonathan officially asked Jean to be his girlfriend at a Turnpike Troubadours concert soon after and the rest is history.
Jonathan thoughtfully planned a proposal where everything first started – in their favorite city, Austin. The couple drove to Austin where the first surprise was a massage and manicure. After a relaxing spa day, he again surprised her with a beautiful hotel suite. Jonathan proposed to Jean later that day overlooking Lake Austin on Mount Bonnell, which was one of the first places they had connected. The pair excitedly celebrated with dinner at Perla’s. To top off the wonderful day, Jonathan surprised Jean again by hosting a surprise engagement party with friends and family who had traveled from across the country to celebrate the couple!
