NATURAL ELEGANCE: Lauren and Neal planning a natural and elegant wedding in berry tones with the help of Bird Dog Wedding.
SPECIAL TRADITIONS: Lauren had a small bridal party of just her two sisters, but wanted to include her closest friends. She had them wear blue dresses as her “something blue,” and they sat right up front.
SPECIAL TOUCHES: Lauren and Neal moved to Austin from Boston, so as a nod to their east-coast roots, they had the food truck Dock & Roll serve lobster rolls as a late night snack.
DELICIOUS DISHES: Royal Fig catered the cocktail hour and a family-style sit-down meal. Guests dined on beef tenderloin with mustard roasted potatoes and gulf redfish with seared string beans and a tomato jam. It was all delicious!
SAVORY SWEETS: Lauren and Neal loved Green Lily cakes so much at the tasting that they couldn’t pick just one for their big day. They ended up with three cakes all decorated with details that matched Lauren’s dress, along with a table of bite-sized desserts.
WORDS OF WISDOM: Do a first look, Lauren suggests. Lauren and Neal weren’t planning on it, but after a few transportation snafus and a rush to get ready, Lauren was stressed. She claims it was so worth it to duck out in the hallway to see her handsome groom right before they headed down the aisle.
