Tabeen Islam and Greg Urbach’s Moody Romantic Austin Wedding at Ma Maison

Romantic jewel tones set the mood for Tabeen and Greg’s vibrant Austin wedding which featured the talents of some incredible Austin wedding vendors. Royal Fig Catering dished out delicious cuisine followed by a scrumptious wedding cake from Sweet Treets Bakery, and we adore the beyond gorgeous florals by Bouquets of Austin. The fusion of two beautiful cultures took place at Ma Maison nestled in beautiful wine country just outside Austin. Cheers to Tabeen and Greg!

Tabeen and Greg first met in Houston while they were juniors in high school. While Tabeen took her job as head editor in yearbook class very serious, baseball player Greg was only taking the course because he thought it would be easy. Even though she found herself constantly rewriting his articles, the two became friends and Tabeen developed a huge crush on Greg. Without making her attraction known, she moved to college in New Orleans and Greg went to Dallas. After graduating from Tulane, Tabeen moved to Manhattan and began working in cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, but after her mother was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, she decided to move back home. After seven years of being away, Greg was the first person to welcome her back into the Lone Star state. Despite not seeing each other for an entire decade, Greg asked her out to dinner to catch up and as you can assume the rest is history! Greg found the perfect moment to pop the question at the Vancouver Art Gallery and even had hired a photographer to capture the surprise. The couple tied the knot on August 13, 2016 at Ma Maison.
