Moody Austin Micro Wedding Inspiration

We’re kicking off PRIDE  month in chic, high contrast style throughout this moody Austin micro wedding inspiration captured by Nikk Nguyen Photo from beginning to happily ever after! See these lovers go from an urban rooftop proposal to saying “I do” in a courtyard ceremony featuring a neon triangle altar that pulled their black-tie affair together. With one bride in a smart suit and bow tie while the other wore a petal appliqué-covered gown from Unbridaled, there is no doubt this couple is stepping into married life in style!

An intimate wedding reception dinner setup was characterized by its luxe settings, smoky glass, and matte black tabletop décor by Table Manners – all created just the right film-feeling “just married” vibe. To seal the deal, these lovebirds snapped some pictures indoors and out around the property before heading in to cut a cake by Feathers and Frosting that was a total moody masterpiece and nothing short of resembling an oil painting. Read on for a special note from the creative Nikk Nguyen Photo who brought us this sweet Austin micro wedding inspiration that was simply perfect for couples who love quiet moments together. Cheers!

From the photographer, Nikk Nguyen Photo: “The real centerpiece of this styled shoot was the incredible Justine’s Secret House. This private venue has built mystique through its exclusivity, but, behind the gates, it’s an amazing Victorian building with an intimate courtyard. To take advantage of its inimitable atmosphere, we decided to design a modern wedding with bright and creative elements. We wanted to embrace the moody, bistro vibes and colors of Justine’s Secret House, and juxtapose them with modern altar, patterns, place settings, and stationery. One of the stand-out elements of the styling here was the fabulous Feathers and Frosting wedding cake! It was frosted to look like a painting of flowers, and the colors perfectly chimed with the real blooms in vibrant oranges and pinks. It was the perfect contrast to the dark and historical elements of Justine’s Secret House. The most triumphant moment of contrast, though, was the ceremony site – a neon triangle altar in the midst of the courtyard!”
