Modern Mix | Jewel-Toned Tablescape from Kristin Catter Events
November 12
We absolutely adore the modern mix of jewel-toned details in this inspirational wedding scene from Kristin Catter Events! Plums and azure blues serve as the base color scheme, evident in the heavy textured linens from Marquee Event Rentals, the ombré marbled cake from Sweet Treets Bakery and the surroundings at the luxe W Austin Hotel. The florals by Reiley + Rose tied everything together, with deep purples right alongside pops of citrus and watermelon shades for a bright, bold and fun contrast! Hammered lucite chairs coordinate perfectly with the three-dimensional clear place cards with beautiful metallic calligraphy by Bailey Rose Design. To add to the modern mix, the bride modeled two different gowns from Blush Bridal Lounge, a princess style with beaded bodice and a form-fitting strapless with a billowing textured tulle skirt. Two different hair and makeup looks by Beautymark Agency complemented the different gowns – one look more soft, natural and effortless, one more bold and refined. No matter your tastes, this stylish scene boasts a modern mix of elements to love! Cheers!

From the planner, Kristin Catter of Kristin Catter Events: “What I love the most about this shoot is the unexpected watermelon pop of color and the combination of textures. We took a traditional fall color palette and put a twist on it by bringing in a fun citrus color that you would see more present in summer or spring. We then combined various textures to create a cohesive design. The velvet linen is rich and embraces the jewel tone trend, the sheen of the watermelon napkin pops against the smooth, circular shapes of the plates, chargers and place cards. The linear metallic grain on the plates mirror the linear crushed plum linen on the cake table. The flowers round out the design combing all of the shapes, colors and patterns.”
