Laurene Connelly Weds Travis Gaskill | Modern Minimalist Austin Wedding

Laurene and Travis wanted a relaxed non-traditional vibe for their big day, so they went with a modern minimalist Austin wedding. Hiring Kimberley from Silver Thistle Weddings was one of the best decisions Laurene and Travis made. She did an amazing job, and Laurene was absolutely stress free the day of the wedding, which was one of the couple’s ultimate goals. Travis was checking out the cute drummer at a concert in Bryan, Texas. After the show he offered to buy her a drink and they enjoyed some light conversation together. The next morning Laurene noticed a new friend request from Travis on Facebook. They talked a lot as internet friends and had their first official date at the ACL music festival.

Over the course of their relationship, Laurene and Travis became huge campers and enjoyed backpacking together. They took a trip to Yosemite and Travis packed a very special item – an engagement ring. They had Travis’ dad take a photo of them in front of a meadow next to Lake Virginia. While they were at ten-thousand feet of elevation, Travis got down on one knee and proposed. Laurene was totally surprised and so happy to say yes.
