Lillian and Alex wanted a modern emerald wedding in the Texas Hill Country with a casual and simple feel. Lillian and Alex have known each other since elementary school, were best friends in high school, and started dating after college. On an early Valentine’s date night, Alex surprised Lillian with a romantic dinner, a night at a new hotel, and a proposal.

The morning before their wedding, one of the bridesmaids went into labor, and her baby boy was born during the rehearsal dinner! Lillian’s cousin presided over the wedding and created a ceremony that was meaningful and personal to the couple. A close family friend wrote a piece to share during the ceremony that talked about their journey and honored Alex’s late sister.

Right after the ceremony as the bride and groom walked back up the aisle, they had a few moments to soak it all in. It was a very special moment to get to hug everyone. There was so much joy and happiness they will always remember.
