Mid-Century Modern Southwestern Inspiration by Westcott Weddings

Welcome guests to your celebration with a bright and fresh color palette! Westcott Weddings created this Mid-Century modern scene at Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery adding a heaping dose of Southwestern flair for the ultimate Austin wedding inspiration. Kelly from Mint Photography captured every vibrant detail so beautifully starting with the focal point – a festive lounge area full of cozy couches and chairs in varying patterns and textures from Birch and Brass. Clementine Botanical Art really brought this fresh color palette to life with warm-hued florals featuring our favorite giant coral peonies. We just love the fireplace installation she created full of cascading blooms and greenery. Outside you’ll find Birch and Brass charming copper and white bar stocked with fresh cocktails from Deep Eddy Vodka alongside a towering dessert bar featuring a black and white sprinkle print cake and a full spread of sweets by 2tarts Bakery. The model bride looked absolutely radiant in her cross-back gown from Serendipity Bridal. Her twisted updo by Flair Style Lounge was adorned with the most perfect Grecian-inspired hairpiece and was complemented with fresh, dewey makeup by Cren De La Cren by Katherine Crenshaw. Don’t miss the unique watercolor invitation with the cutest tribal-patterned envelope liner by Peach Paper and Design – the perfect finishing touch to this “Palm Springs” meets “New Mexico” setting. Be sure to check out more of this beautiful shoot in the new Fall/Winter 2017 issue of Brides of Austin on pages 102-106. Cheers!

From the planner, Ellen Westcott of Westcott Weddings: “The inspiration for this shoot really stemmed from Birch & Brass’s fabulous Cheri Chairs. I wanted to play on the black and white of the chairs, give a nod to their tribal/boho vibe, and then accent everything with lots of whimsical, vibrant color. I quickly dubbed the theme of my shoot ‘Mid-Century Modern Southwestern’ and was after a ‘Palm Springs’ meets ‘New Mexico’ vibe for the shoot. All the color and whimsy of Palm Springs combined with the rich textures and deeper tones of the Southwest.
