Dan proposed to Melissa at Spiderhouse where they had their first date after meeting online. He is a man of few words, so his nervous, figurative walk down memory lane should have tipped her off, but she had trained herself to stop expecting a proposal. It was a no-brainer for them to have at least some of their engagement shots taken at Spiderhouse because it was the place they first laid eyes on each other.
