Saying “I do” with bright summer blooms in the bride’s family’s backyard made for an unforgettable evening for Maggie and Keaton. The adorable couple’s love story began in April of 2017 when Maggie was invited for a little get-together by a friend after work. After walking up four flights of stairs to the wrong apartment, Maggie, out of breath, finally found the correct one, and no other than Keaton opened the door for her. The sparks flew between Maggie and Keaton as they bonded over being teachers and musicians. The two were madly in love a few dates later and knew they had found their forever. After a dreamy engagement at Maggie’s parent’s lake house, the two set to say their I do’s with a June garden party wedding. Although the couple feared possible thunderstorms for their outdoor wedding all day, the rain held off for a truly magical day.
With constant thunderstorm warnings on the morning of their big day, Maggie and her bridesmaids got ready as they watched the storm roll in over the field. After watching the radar all day, the storm stopped an hour before the ceremony began. From a small window, Maggie watched as her bridesmaids and family walked down the beautiful mulch aisle to the garden. Reality set in as Maggie grabbed her father’s arm and proceeded through the garden to meet her groom. Maggie and Keaton stood under an arch of blooming honeysuckle, under a giant oak tree, with a backdrop of hundreds of brilliant summer zinnias and Dahlias. After becoming husband and wife, a bell in the front yard rang seven times to honor their marriage. The couple walked down the aisle to streaming ribbons and ringing bells, all the way to the bell in the front yard to ring it themselves.
A magical cotton candy sky set the mood for dinner on the front lawn, covered by a beautiful white tent. Dinner tables contained pink, orange, and yellow local grown flowers with beautiful table signs made by Maggie’s brother. After listening to Maggie’s father’s legendary speech, it was time to cut the cake from 2Tarts Bakery. Maggie describes this moment as “a picturesque wedding cake cutting moment. I didn’t realize how much happiness I would get from that tiny moment, but the cake was dreamy and unbelievably tasty.” The couple danced on the patio and even performed music themselves for guests. Maggie and Keaton ended the night with a quiet, dark, barefoot walk to their home while guests hoped on Elegant Worldwide Transportation back to their accommodations. Monica Roberts Photography captured all the magical moments that you must see below. Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs. Ainsworth.
Maggie and Keaton’s Favorite Memory:
Maggie said, “From a small window, I was able to watch my bridesmaids, the groomsmen and our family walk down the beautiful mulch aisle to the garden where we would get married. I watched with tears in my eyes as my four brothers brought my mother down the aisle in her wheelchair and I saw for the first time that day my future husband graciously smiling and waving at our loved ones. I’m so glad I got to see that part of the wedding!”
