SWEET BEGINNINGS: Madeline and Brendan met during their senior year at Trinity College and have been inseparable ever since. They both moved to New York City that summer and were determined to stay regardless of what jobs they needed to take.

PERFECT PROPOSAL: Brendan took Madeline to Bermuda for what she thought was a long overdue vacation on her spring break from school to celebrate her birthday. The couple arrived in Bermuda the day before her birthday and went for a walk on Horseshoe Bay beach. There, surrounded by the vast blue water and warm sand, Brendan got down on one knee and proposed!

HUES SHE USED: Madeline chose blush, white, green and gray to use throughout her special day to enhance their natural surroundings. Since they both wanted their wedding to be simple and rustic yet comfortable and elegant, these lovely tones went along with their theme beautifully. Their wedding remained country with a polished twist that was indicative of their life in a big city.

MUSIC MUST: The pair agreed that hiring the Royal Dukes Band was one of the best decisions they ever made! With acoustic covers during the ceremony and a six-piece band during the reception, the band kept the party going and was able to read the crowd. People still rave to Madeline and Brendan about their amazing wedding band!

PLANNING FROM A DISTANCE: Mandy at Modern Whimsy Events helped the newlyweds’ vision come to life. Living in NYC, they conveyed their dreams and goals to her and she made it come to fruition. From the décor with bunting flags and candles to the backyard games during cocktail hour to their guest book with special meaning, the couple loved everything about their special day. Mandy was instrumental in connecting the couple with other vendors and turning their dream into a reality!

VENDOR LOVE: Madeline and Brendan agree that Kelly at Mint Photography captured the love and happiness of the day in still photos. Even though they met her on the day of the wedding, it seemed as though they had known her for years. From the lighting to the details to the candid photos, Kelly found a way to showcase their love in a beautiful way!
