THE PROPOSAL: After work on a Friday in December, Lauren arrived to Kevin’s house where he had placed rose petals everywhere. Lauren was elated to see Kevin on one knee with their favorite music playing in the background. She was so in shock that she can’t remember any of his words besides, “Will you marry me?” Of course, she said yes! Afterward, the newly engaged couple went to dinner at the restaurant where they had their first date, and their closest friends surprised them at a wine bar downtown to celebrate!

THE SETTING: Lauren and Kevin were married at the Austin Country Club. The venue features a large wrap-around brick patio, several rooms and an amazing view of the 360 Bridge. Lauren wanted a special and unique venue, and she instantly fell in love with Austin Country Club. The windows surrounding the ballroom created the perfect mix of an indoor space with an outdoor feel. Lauren and Kevin both loved the lawn for their outdoor wedding.

BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: The bride carried a stunning bouquet of ivory garden roses, white ranunculus, white sweet peas, blush garden roses, and blush astilbe wrapped in blush ribbon and a piece of lace taken from the mother-of-the-bride’s wedding dress from 1979. It was classic and timeless with a special twist of family history.

SAVORY SWEETS: Instead of doing a bride’s cake and groom’s cake, Lauren and Kevin did one big cake designed after the University of Texas tower. They also served cake balls shaped as the Texas Longhorn logo. They are both very passionate about the Longhorns, so it was special for them to incorporate this aspect into the wedding.

VENDOR LOVE: Becky Navarro with Pearl Events Austin, their wedding planner, was nothing short of spectacular. Becky planned, designed and created the perfect day and was so helpful throughout the entire year of planning. Becky was a lifesaver for Lauren and is a main reason why the wedding was so special!
