Kimiya and Stuart’s Italian garden-inspired wedding at The Contemporary Austin – Laguna Gloria created an elegant and unique wedding experience for guests. The two got engaged on a trip to Lake Como, Italy. Stuart kept waiting for the perfect moment to propose. Finally, on a tour of various villas, Stuart found his chance. As Stuart was about to get down on one knee, Kimiya screamed “GELATO” and ran towards the vendor. With that opportunity gone, Stuart knew he had to take advantage of the next one. Therefore, when they came upon a patio overlooking the water, Stuart got down on one knee and proposed to the love of his life. Of course, Kimiya said, “yes,” and the two spent the next five days traveling around Italy as a newly engaged couple. Therefore it was only fitting that the couple planned an Italian-inspired wedding and recruited help from Eclipse Event Co.
On a beautiful October evening, Kimiya and Stuart said, “I do,” with a beautiful outdoor ceremony and tented reception. The couple incorporated their Persian culture with a Sofreh Aghd into their outdoor ceremony. Sofreh Aghd, a table beautifully decorated with various symbolic items, represents an element of marriage for the couple’s new life together. In addition, to the Sofreh Aghd, Bella by Sara provided beautiful blooming florals for the ceremony and reception. Our favorite detail is the fountain covered in cascading red florals. After the romantic outdoor ceremony, guests enjoyed custom cocktails from Royal Fig Catering named after the couple’s fur babies. How adorable! With cocktails in hand, guests walked into a tented reception full of sage details, baby’s breath floral arrangements, and rentals from Premiere Events. Kimiya and Stuart’s reception truly felt like an Italian garden soirée. The couple danced the night away before heading off to Hotel Van Zandt. Keep scrolling to see more of the gorgeous gallery.
Kimiya and Stuart’s Favorite Wedding Detail:
“The flower fountain in the courtyard at The Contemporary Austin – Laguna Gloria. Stuart sketched out the floral design. We wanted it to be ‘bold in color with reds representing passion and his deep love.”
