Kara Perez and Christopher Dolence’s Rustic Garden Wedding at Ma Maison
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Kara and Christopher met through mutual friends at a bar in Houston in December of 2013.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Kara and Christopher were in Alaska for a friend’s wedding. While out hiking, Christopher proposed at the very top of a mountain, shrouded in the clouds-it was so romantic. Best of all, Chris’s brother got great pictures of the proposal for them to have forever.
SETTING THE SCENE: The Grove at Ma Maison was perfect for Kara and Christopher. It was big enough for their guests, and had the southern hospitality and warmth they wanted.
GET THE LOOK: Gorgeous navy bridesmaids’ dresses and groomsmen in black tuxedos created a sense of southern charm that added just the right touch to Kara and Christopher’s big day.
THE CAKE: Kara wanted a traditional and elegant cake. The couple opted for a four-tier white cake with a few blooms. It was perfect; simple, elegant and classic, just like their big day.
DELICIOUS DISHES: Royal Fig Catering was great! Kara and Christopher wanted everyone to experience genuine Texan food, so they opted for barbecue shrimp with pimento cheese and braised short ribs with a truffle mash.
