Jennie and Samuel’s intimate earth-tone wedding in a friend’s backyard is sophisticated, classic, and absolutely romantic. The couple says they met in DC “by God’s grace” because neither had ever considered moving to DC. Jennie accepted a job in DC right after school, and the Marine Corps sent Samuel. The two met at a mutual friend’s game night. The following morning Samuel saw Jennie at church and immediately asked her out. After a little over a year of dating, Samuel proposed at the National Arboretum. Jennie and Samuel have a motto of “actions speak louder than words.” Therefore when Samuel was proposing, he told Jennie he couldn’t think of a better action to show his love than getting down on one knee. So sweet!
Jennie and Samuel’s intimate wedding is full of beautiful earth tones. The two said their “I dos” in a friend’s backyard due to Covid with their close family and friends. Jennie walked down the aisle as her best friend sang on a perfect sunny spring day. In addition, Samuel’s dad officiated the wedding as guests who couldn’t attend watched on a live stream. The couple had a small reception in the house’s side yard with a mariachi band, cake, champagne, charcuterie, and margaritas. After the couple took pictures with the talented Franny Pullin Photography, they moved their wedding party to Elberly. At the restaurant, guests enjoyed a five-course meal and custom cocktails and finished it off with dancing to a live three-piece jazz band.
