Mathilde and Hunter met during their sophomore year at the University of Alabama. A mutual friend was hosting a dinner party, and they both happened to be on the guest list! Immediately hitting it off, the two began spending a lot of time together, hiking, swimming, camping and road tripping. After falling head over heels in love, Hunter planned the most thoughtful proposal. It was the weekend of the SEC Championship Game, and Alabama was playing for the title. Mathilde was also traveling there not only for the game, but for a baby shower as well! After arriving in town, Mathilde went out to eat with some girlfriends and little did she know they were all in on the surprise! Hunter showed up at the restaurant, completely catching Mathilde off guard. He had made plans to spend the weekend with her, taking her to Tuscaloosa the very next day. While walking their college campus, they made their way to The Quad, and before she knew it, Hunter was down on one knee! Of course, she said yes!
