Glam Winter Austin Wedding at the Four Seasons | Kelsey + Grant

SWEET BEGINNINGS: Grant was Kelsey’s first boyfriend back in seventh grade. Their middle school relationship ended when Grant moved on to high school, but even then, he always seemed interested in Kelsey. After Grant lost his father and recovered from a traumatic brain injury in 2011, he decided to move back to Austin where he reconnected with Kelsey.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Kelsey and Grant were in Aspen for the Christmas holiday. Grant had left a few days before and told Kelsey that he had brought all of the presents with him. On Christmas night everyone had gifts to open but Kelsey. A little confused, she left to change into her pajamas and began to cry as she told Grant that she did not understand why their gifts were not there. Little did Kelsey know that Grant had planned a beautiful proposal dinner and stay at Hotel Jerome for the next night. He couldn’t stand to see Kelsey cry, so he surprised her with the ring that night. Their first picture as an engaged couple was in their pajamas.
THE SETTING: Kelsey chose the Four Seasons Hotel Austin as their reception venue because she knew they would make the experience luxurious. They were very professional, which allowed Kelsey to completely trust them throughout the process.
SPECIAL TRADITIONS: Kelsey’s side of the family is Czech, so she knew to expect The Grand March, a dancing tradition, at her wedding. All of the guests were having so much fun as Kelsey’s relatives led the dance. Kelsey said it felt like a scene straight out of “My Big Fat Czech Wedding.”
