Tara and David’s mutual friend thought the pair would make a good couple. With that in mind, their friend arranged for a group outing that turned into late- night cocktails. The group met the next morning for pho. A few nights later, Tara and David went on their first date that was the beginning of their staple sushi, sake and pho.

After dating for two years, Tara and David embarked on building a house together. All the while, David had plans to propose during their first moments in their new home. When they finally closed, Tara had just returned from a work trip and had lots of work to complete. Not wanting to take off, David thought fast and reached out to her boss who sent her home. As planned, they entered their home to a beautiful scene – rose petals, hundreds of candles, photos of the couple, flowers and champagne. David got down on one knee and asked Tara to marry him. After excitedly saying yes, the couple spent the next few hours eating sushi and drinking champagne.
