A Bright, Texas-Taiwanese Fusion Wedding

Planned by Kristin Catter Events, this bright and fresh affair is the perfect Texas-Taiwanese fusion wedding! Fiona and Connor first met while studying for their PhDs in electrical engineering at Stanford University. Connor saw Fiona in the basement lab one day and immediately thought she could be the one. Not long later they were dating, and the rest was history! Connor later popped the question at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Fransisco after a night of sushi and liquid nitrogen ice cream. Fiona, not being one to be surprised by Connor, correctly predicted the purpose of the occasion but was none the less thrilled to be asked the question. Now, the two look overjoyed to be wed in this beautiful gallery captured by Joslyn Holtfort Photography, and we are obsessing over Fiona’s bouquet! Utilizing various shades of blue and red, gorgeous florals tie in perfectly with the rest of their romantic decor. Fiona and Connor’s venue served as the most beautiful culture-combining backdrop complete with Texas-native wildflowers and decorated with traditional Taiwanese “Double Happiness” symbols (雙喜) which we just love. Read on to hear about the bride’s favorite vendors involved with her gorgeous Texas-Taiwanese fusion wedding. Cheers to Fiona and Connor!

From the bride: “Joslyn Holtfort, our photographer, created a rhythm throughout the day, helping to slow down the pace for us to enjoy the moment. We also cannot thank Kristin Catter Events, our wedding planner, enough for putting everything together so elegantly, and really making the day special.”
