With another runway season behind us, we’re heading into the end of the year already looking forward to what Fall 2019 has in store for brides-to-be! Cooler weather seasons allow for greater experimentation with texture, layers, silhouettes and even color palette, and designers certainly proved this to be true for next fall’s lineup of runway fashion. From heavy embellishments to new accessories, there’s something a little dazzling for every bride, no matter your style! Cinched with a Corset
In a year filled with royal chatter, it’s to no surprise that nods to regality continue to inspire the design space in the bridal world. While high necks and long lace sleeves still made their mark for fall 2019, it’s the Victorian-era reminiscent corseted bodice that drew attention for its more versatile take on the trend. In the Watters show, nude underlay and a pearl embellished skirt gave the look a fresh, modern feel, perfect for the fashion-forward bride who appreciates a touch of tradition. Find the new collection in stores soon at Unbridaled and Julian Gold Bridal.
Feathery Frocks
From dainty sleeve embellishments to full-on feather skirts, this light and airy design staple made a mega return this season in every way imaginable. While some designers tread lightly, others dove head-first in embracing the trend by creating looks that capitalize on the fluid movement of feathers in motion, exampled in this floor sweeping gown from Justin Alexander. Be on the lookout for the arrival of the new collection in Blush Bridal Lounge.
Capes as the New Veil
While capes have become no stranger to the runways over the last few years, this season it was evident that they’re here to stay. In fact, a staggering number of designers favored showing looks that featured cape styles seemingly altogether replacing the need for a veil. Looks featuring attachments to the gown were neatly hidden on straps or even built-in similar to a hood to create multiple looks on one gown. Others paired the cape as an accessory. But regardless of the style, the one commonality was the trailing length behind each gown as if creating the look of a cathedral-length veil. Be sure to look for this fabulous Pronovias style and other cape looks from the Fall 2019 collection at Beatitude Bridal and Serendipity Bridal.
