Erin Child and Nick Knowles’ Classic Whimsical Austin Wedding at Ma Maison

Erin and Nick met in Austin after her friend moved into his house. The two started hanging out as friends and began dating in February 2014 after about a year of friendship. Nick was moving to Dallas for law school when Erin quit her job and decided to move back to California and travel for a year. Not wanting to be long-distance, he applied to California law schools and moved with her. While living in San Diego, the pair continued dating and decided they wanted to move back to Austin, so they did. Erin had just returned from a trip to Ecuador with her dad when Nick seized the opportunity to ask for her hand in marriage. Erin’s dad thought she knew Nick was asking and wound up telling her over breakfast. Soon after, Nick began the process of having a ring made. Erin knew creating a ring would take a while, but just knowing it was coming made her obnoxiously impatient. Because of her stubbornness, Nick went against his original plan and proposed to Erin on their balcony overlooking the ocean with the couple’s fur babies at their side.
