Downtown Austin Engagement Photos with a Boozy Twist

Metropolitan meets cosmopolitan with this downtown Austin engagement shoot by Franny Pullin Photography! The sweet couple, Sarah and Scott, commemorated their engagement with a classic engagement shoot through historic downtown Austin and decided to incorporate a fun, boozy twist—ending their photo shoot with drinks at a local bar! From strolling through the streets of Austin to stealing kisses at Mattie’s bar, the pair couldn’t have looked more in love.

Although they grew up just five minutes from each other (and attended rival high schools!), Sarah and Scott began dating after they met on move-in day at Ole Miss. Fittingly, Scott proposed in Oxford, Mississippi, and the pair plans to tie the knot in February 2023 at The Grand Lady with a formal affair planned by Simply XO Events. With an incredible vendor team including Think Brink Beauty, the couple will bring their modern, timeless, and romantic vision to life to celebrate their union.

“We love the idea of a modern and formal wedding that also incorporates fun aspects, like southern comfort food and a crazy dance floor because that really showcases who we are as a couple, as Franny so thoughtfully captured in our engagement shoot,” Sarah said.

From the bride: “My favorite detail about our upcoming wedding is our venue, The Grand Lady. It combines everything we wanted: a classic, vintage house that reminds us of the style of homes in our college town and the modern and simple feel of the reception hall that we love. Besides that, we are excited about all the unique, fun details we are surprising our guests with that really showcase our fun-loving side!”
