These Couples Eloped in a Vegas Style Pandemic Pop-Up Event

During the most unprecedented and uncertain times, these Austin wedding vendors banded together to be a beacon of hope and foster love in the time of COVID-19! With a goal of spreading joy and creating a place where couples can come together to celebrate their love, vendors created a fun, trendy space with all the fun of a Vegas elopement from the safety of Austin with no shortage of bright and colorful details – perfect for corona couples to still have their dream wedding at the fraction of the cost! Cory Ryan Photography captured COVID-affected lovers dressed to the nines all day long and there is so much obvious joy in these sweet photos. An incredible over-the-top altar install from Remi + Gold featuring cheery dyed pampas grass and bold, beautiful blooms sets the tone for a bright and full-feeling love that can handle anything life throws at it. Couples got hitched in ceremonies officiated (and sung) by Elvis and up to 18 of their nearest and dearest were welcome to accompany them in seating in gold metal chairs or other rentals from Party at the Moontower Event Rentals and Premiere Events. Livestream is always an option for those close loved ones that couldn’t make it and newlyweds received champagne, cake, music, and a meal-to-go, so they could continue the celebration at home! Dart Collective kept the wedding day jams playing nonstop and the party lasted all day and guests left with fun favors like fashion sketches from the talented Vogue Vignette. From the photographer, Cory Ryan Photography: “During these overwhelming times, we wanted to spread joy and create a space where couples could come together to celebrate their love and still be able to make grand gestures and big commitments to one another. It is so necessary in our current times to take a moment and appreciate the love you have, so we brought Vegas to Mercury Hall! The Hall was dressed to the nines and at the center was The King himself – Elvis – who officiated and sang their ceremonies, where eighteen of their nearest and dearest were welcome to accompany the couple. We also had a livestream set so families and friends, near and far, could share in the merriment. There was champagne, cake, music and a meal-to-go, so they could continue the celebration at home.”
