Long before Macey moved to Austin, she and Chad met briefly at SXSW through a mutual friend. Fast-forward two years and she packed her bags to move to Austin. Chad was living with the same friend who had introduced them at the festival so their paths crossed again. The pair immediately hit things off!

Chad proposed to Macey on her birthday! He had come up with an idea of doing a time capsule that included notes documenting all the “big” milestones that happened in their relationship. For Macey’s birthday, they started off with an amazing meal at Launderette. When they got home, Chad told her that he had prepared a few notes for their time capsule and gave them to Macey to read. The last note read, “We got engaged.” Shocked, Macey looked up to see Chad down on one knee. To commemorate the sweet proposal, he secretly videotaped the entire thing!
