SWEET BEGINNINGS: Caitlin and Kellan met through a mutual group of friends and bonded over break-ups both were going through and a love for illustration.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Kellan proposed to Caitlin on their fourth anniversary date. Caitlin is very difficult to surprise, and Kellan isn’t terribly sneaky, so Caitlin had a hunch that he had something planned. After several failed attempts throughout the day, Kellan finally popped the question after dinner as the city lights twinkled on the water at Auditorium Shores.
THE SETTING: Caitlin and Kellan were married at the Pecan Grove on a large, rustic pavilion surrounded by acres of giant pecan trees and a small creek. The bride grew up in Texas Hill Country, so being there was nostalgic for her. In addition, the Pecan Grove is owned and operated by The Salt Lick, a favorite meal of the groom!
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Caitlin carried a soft, vintage-inspired bundle of succulents, dusty miller, roses and craspedia in shades of dusty teal, yellow and peach.
SAVORY SWEETS: The cake was a five-tiered masterpiece featuring a cascade of succulents. Each tier was a different delicious flavor.
SPECIAL TRADITIONS: Caitlin and Kellan set up a family tree table with photos dating back to their grandparents’ era so that family members they missed could be with them on their special day.
