“Most Indian weddings are three days long, but this one was three days over three years! We had a civil ceremony in 2020, a Hindu ceremony in 2021, and our reception in 2022. Although the reception was missing many of the traditional elements of an Indian wedding, we still honored my heritage by including Indian touches of food, attire, jewelry, music, a dance performance by friends and a dhol drummer on the dance floor.” – Pooja + Joe
