SWEET BEGINNINGS: Kayla and Stewart were introduced through mutual friends. After spending time together at a Halloween party, they both realized how much fun they had with one another. Within a few weeks, Stewart invited Kayla to see Phish play at Madison Square Garden in New York City for New Year’s Eve. Kayla and Stewart had the time of their lives that night, and the rest is history!
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Kayla, Stewart and a big group of friends were going to Baton Rouge for the Louisiana State University-University of Mississippi football game. They had plans to meet for dinner at Galatoire’s but everyone ended up backing out. While Kayla and Stewart were at the restaurant, he got down on one knee and popped the question! But that wasn’t all Stewart had planned – after dinner, the pair went to a bar on Bourbon Street where Stewart had rented out the entire balcony and bar! All their friends were there to celebrate the couple’s engagement!
THE SETTING: Kayla and Stewart wanted to get married outside in the Texas Hill Country but wanted to avoid anything too rustic. The couple was overwhelmed with the classic beauty of Ma Maison. With dark wood floors, tall ceilings, French doors and gorgeous chandeliers, the space was romantic, vintage and absolutely stunning.
DELICIOUS DISHES: Royal Fig Catering provided a lot of incredible comfort and southern food for the guests to enjoy. With appetizers such as chicken fried beef short ribs and stations with truffle mac and cheese with house-made bacon and smoked prime rib, guests had plenty of tasty options.
SAVORY SWEETS: The bride’s five-tiered cake had ivory buttercream icing and pearl beading around the edges. It was filled with almond white cake, fresh strawberries and Bavarian cream filling. Fresh flowers that matched her bouquet cascaded down the cake.
