SWEET BEGINNINGS: Meghan and Bobby met the summer after she graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Bobby’s younger brother introduced them at their family lake house Labor Day weekend and they hit things off!
PERFECT PROPOSAL: On December 20, 2015, Bobby popped the question! It was a cold winter day at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden where Bobby asked Meghan to marry him in the Poetry Garden. Bobby had a bottle of wine ingrained with, “Will You Marry Me, Meghan?” and photographers were there to capture every moment. Their families were waiting for them at Fireside Pies where Meghan and Bobby had their first date. Afterward, all their friends were there to celebrate with a night out in Dallas.
THE SETTING: Originally, Meghan and Bobby were supposed to get married on the Lily Lawn at Horseshoe Bay Resort Yacht Club. Due to rain, they ended up getting married in the Granite Ballroom at the resort. Horseshoe Bay draped each wall top to bottom in white linen. The florist lined the aisle with lush petals, a white runner, and tons of glass cylinders with floating candles. The florist also brought an altar with additional white draping so Meghan could hang her ceremony florals in the ballroom! It created the perfect intimate setting for the ceremony.
BRIDESMAIDS’ ATTIRE: Meghan’s bridesmaids wore Jim Hjelm designs in cashmere color and chiffon material. Each dress was from the same line but different styles.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Meghan and Bobby had the time of their life dancing the night away with all of their guests. No one was ready for the night to end. Once it was time for the happy couple to depart, everyone lined up with sparklers underneath an awning to say goodbye. Even though it was raining, Meghan and Bobby ran over to the boat and took off anyway – they were just so happy they didn’t even notice the rain!
VENDOR LOVE: Sophie Epton and her photography blew Meghan and Bobby away. She had the perfect vision for all the shots she wanted to capture for the couple. Sophie also went above and beyond her photographer duties, and helped Meghan find other vendors she needed.
