Cassie Braun and Amber Lindeman’s Modern Boho Austin Wedding
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Cassie and Amber met the summer of 2011 on the Guadalupe River. They were both floating with friends of friends and one of them needed rescuing.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Cassie had rose petals and champagne set up at the couple’s house in the backyard. She handed Amber a personalized viewfinder with sentimental pictures of their journey as a couple.
MODERN BOHEMIAN: Cassie and Amber celebrated their union with a modern bohemian wedding decorated in nudes and golds with natural greenery.
SAVORY SWEETS: LoveBirds Sweets designed a nearly naked coconut lime cream cake with a topper that read “She’s her lobster.” The other cake had two fondant elephants, one in a tux and one in a wedding dress, that were hang gliding in honor of their original plan for a destination wedding on the beach where Cassie wanted to parasail into her spot.
DELICIOUS DISHES: Catering with a Twist catered passed appetizers of mini street tacos and chicken stuffed jalapeno peppers. For dinner they served beef and chicken enchiladas with rice and beans and a side salad with jalapeno dressing.
VENDOR LOVE: Kate from Wild Sky Events did an outstanding job of capturing the bohemian yet modern style of both Cassie and Amber. This would not have been possible without her. The day of the wedding, Kate decided to add the fabric ribbon banner at the front of the reception hall, which was definitely focal point of many pictures, as well as a conversation piece throughout the night.
