Brunch Austin Wedding at Barr Mansion | Kate + Kurt

SWEET BEGINNINGS: Kate and Kurt met in Denver through mutual friends. They both loved skiing, snowboarding and traveling, and quickly bonded over the crazy life of being CPAs.

PERFECT PROPOSAL: Kurt wanted to celebrate a good week of work with dinner at Second Bar + Kitchen. The invitation didn’t seem unusual to Kate because they both love going out to dinner and trying new places. When they pulled up to the restaurant, Kurt mentioned that one of his coworkers had recently gone to the top of the Austonian and that it was amazing. He suggested the couple try it out, and since the tower was near the restaurant, they embarked on the spontaneous adventure. Kurt spoke with the front desk team and they eventually let them up with what seemed like was some hard convincing. The couple rode the elevator to the top and took in the breathtaking views. Kurt led Kate out to the balcony where there were two photographers. When they went to the edge of the balcony, Kurt got down on one knee and proposed. Kate said it was the most romantic and thoughtful proposal!

BRUNCH GARDEN PARTY: Kate and Kurt had a daytime garden party wedding. Kate fell in love with the blush and navy combination, and used this as her color scheme adding green, burgundy and metallic accents.

BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: STEMS Floral Design Productions did an amazing job creating the loose, ethereal bouquet Kate wanted. She clutched a bouquet of peonies, Juliet and Darcey garden roses, ranunculus, dark pink astrantia, pink pepper berry, jasmine vine, silver dollar eucalyptus, and spirea wrapped in blush ribbon.

SAVORY SWEETS: Kate and Kurt are both dessert fanatics and the thought of having three different bite-sized desserts won over having a single cake. The couple delighted guests with crème brulée tartlets, mini s’mores and salted caramel apple deconstructed pie bites!
