Austin Wedding at Barr Mansion Captured by Feather & Twine | Taylor + Grant

SWEET BEGINNINGS: Taylor and Grant linked up through a mutual friend who had a hunch the pair would make a great couple. Taylor knew there was something special with Grant from the moment he picked her up with flowers in hand.

PERFECT PROPOSAL: Grant asked the big question during a date to Mount Bonnell at sunset. During the date, Grant paused, got down on one knee, and asked Taylor to never leave his side.

THE SETTING: Barr Mansion was the perfect venue for the couple! The venue features a historic Texas home complete with a ballroom surrounded by intimate lush gardens. The guests sat in chairs on the lawn as the happy couple exchanged “I dos” under a 100-year-old pecan tree that was truly magical when the sun peeked through.

BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Taylor loved her bouquet created by STEMS Floral Design and Productions. It featured a single large King Protea adorned with dripping foliages including silver dollar and parvifolia eucalyptus, bay laurel, magnolia, jasmine vine, maidenhair foliages, white Queen Anne’s lace, and white wax flower all wrapped in satin ribbon. The bride also wore a delicate head wreath of parvifolia eucalyptus and bits of white wax flower.

DELICIOUS DISHES: The couple’s guests still rave about the amazing organic dining Barr Mansion provided. Some of Taylor and Grant’s favorites from the day included the wood-fired Margherita pizza, petite watermelon wedges on popsicle sticks, composed cobb salad and beef tenderloin.

VENDOR LOVE: Kelsey and Talon of Feather & Twine outdid themselves for the couple’s special day. Taylor was thankful for Kelsey’s patience to organize and photograph their large families with ease. Such beautiful talent!
