SWEET BEGINNINGS: Alera and Jeremy have actually known each other since they were born. Their parents have been best friends for over 30 years and still live in the same neighborhood! It wasn’t until the two got older and both moved to a new city that they began to see each other as more than friends. Their parents are thrilled to say the least. Jeremy was the boy next door who stole Alera’s heart!

PERFECT PROPOSAL: Jeremy proposed to Alera on his birthday! She was planning a fantastic surprise party for him later that night… but little did she know he had other plans. They started the day touring the beautiful scenery at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. As they strolled through the gardens, Jeremy took Alera to a secluded bench overlooking the lake, got down on one knee and popped the question. After the shock wore off, they took some pictures around the grounds with their “secret” photographer. After the proposal, they still had a party to attend… but little did Alera know the party she had planned was really their engagement party! All of her closest family and friends were there to celebrate the couple. From start to finish the day was a dream; Alera felt so blessed to get to marry her best friend!

THE SETTING: Camp Lucy at Dripping Springs was spacious, classic and had beautiful greenery, which was just right for Alera and Jeremy’s big day.

HUES SHE USED: Alera’s big day was filled with gorgeous colors and blooms in wine and pale pink, with hints of gold.

DELICIOUS DISHES: For their first course, the couple had a baby spinach and field greens salad with goat cheese, fresh strawberries and candied almonds with champagne vinaigrette. Main dishes included wild mushroom and goat cheese stuffed breast of chicken with thyme and grilled beef medallions with red wine bordelaise sauce, with sides of buttered leeks and scalloped potatoes with seasonal grilled vegetables.
