A Simple Outdoor Wedding with Subtleties of Greenery

The story of how this simple outdoor wedding came to be is seriously so sweet! DJ and Eric first met at work and didn’t really talk much. After going to social events and starting to hang out more, their friendship blossomed into a sweet relationship. The proposal took DJ completely by surprise, and Eric even included Leilani, DJ’s daughter. They had planned a date night, and from the start, DJ noticed Eric acting a little strange. Next thing you know, they are standing by a river and Eric is on one knee while Leilani is holding the ring – doesn’t that just make you tear up! Of course, she said yes and “ugly cried like Kim K” according to the bride.

The airy details of the venue added to the simple, modern style DJ wanted for their big day. Floor to ceiling windows, an open dance floor and a beautiful outdoor ceremony space made this wedding entrancing. DJ kept it simple with her bridal gown with gentle touches of lace around the bodice and a captivating train. The couple honored some of their Hispanic heritage by having a Mariachi band perform during their cocktail hour and made sure to pay plenty of Mexican and old school R&B tunes.
