PERFECT PROPOSAL: The proposal was a total surprise for Kelly. They got engaged on July 4th at her family’s ranch in Llano, Texas. When they arrived at the ranch, Kelly’s family told her to go see their new animal. They went to the top of the hill where she spotted champagne and rose petals. She quickly realized that this was the day she had been waiting for! Kelly, still in shock, kept repeating, “Is this real life,” over and over again! To this day, she is not exactly sure what Casey said when he got on one knee, but she knew it was perfect.
RUSTIC ROMANCE: Kelly wanted guests to walk away feeling like they experienced the couple’s personalities at the wedding. She envisioned something elegant with a touch of country flare making everything feel romantically rustic. Kelly incorporated antlers with candles, crystal, and bountiful flowers and greenery. In the end, she felt like everything was so much more than a themed wedding; it was a true reflection of their relationship.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: The bouquet was loose and gathered featuring white and ivory floral with trailing greenery, white peonies, white ranunculus, Queen Anne’s lace, sprigs of wild smilax, dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus, star of Bethlehem, white scabiosa and alabaster garden roses. The bouquet was hand-tied, leaving a small amount of stems exposed and wrapped in ivory satin ribbon. Kelly also walked down the aisle with her late grandmother’s Bible and Casey’s late grandmother’s rosary tied to the bouquet. She wanted to carry a piece of them on her special day.
SAVORY SWEETS: Simon Lee Bakery designed a gorgeous five-tier cake with alternate layers of white cake with strawberry and cream filling to Dutch chocolate. It was covered in chocolate ganache with peach garden roses, pink and peach ranunculus, peach freesia, ivory spray roses and petals from white peonies trailing down the side.
VENDOR LOVE: Kelly’s wedding planners, WHITT, made the whole process easy. Whether it was giving Kelly “style homework” to help her create descriptions of her everyday look or “couple homework” where they listed their favorite activities and restaurants together, everything was fun! Kelly felt like WHITT really got to know them as a couple, and they made sure to get everything she wanted within budget!
