SWEET BEGINNINGS: Christie and Jace’s good friend introduced them on New Year’s Eve. Sparks flew and the rest is history.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Mexico is dear to Christie and Jace. While vacationing in Tulum, the two enjoyed a beautiful beachfront dinner. Christie recalls that they may have been the only people there, but it’s all a blur because Jace proposed to her with his mother’s ring before dinner! Christie said yes, of course, through lots of happy tears.
PRE-WEDDING FESTIVITIES: The wedding day was smooth and easy. Christie and her right-hand woman/good friend Jessie Cohan picked up coffee, food and mimosa fixings for all the girls to enjoy while getting dolled up for the ceremony. Ricky Hodge, another one of Christie’s good friends, closed his salon that day for the ladies to use to get ready. Ricky’s staff really rolled out the red carpet for them!
THE SETTING: Christie and Jace were married outdoors under large, old oak trees on a vintage Moroccan rug. The oak trees served as nature’s perfect altar, representing stability and beauty.
SPECIAL TOUCHES: Jace is from Louisiana, so the couple hung old New Orleans lanterns from the oak trees on the property. Jace also built cornhole boards for guests to play on throughout the evening. The newlyweds often have friends over to play cornhole because it reminds them of their wedding.
VENDOR LOVE: Christie and Jace loved all of the furniture from Loot Vintage Rentals. It provided a natural and cozy atmosphere for the cocktail hour. They also found a superstar day-of wedding planner in Vanessa Cook.
