PERFECT PROPOSAL: Tina and Albert were planning a trip to Europe when they found out Albert was being sent to work in Afghanistan for several months. Tina, their families and their friends assumed that Albert would propose in Europe since he would be leaving soon, but Albert had other ideas. As the end of their trip approached, he told her he had planned on waiting until after his deployment to propose because he wanted to make it absolutely perfect. Tina was confused and getting tired of waiting; Albert realized that as long as she said yes, it would be the perfect proposal he was planning. The next day, he told her he needed some time alone to think, but instead he went to a jewelry store to purchase an engagement ring. The sun came out and the weather was perfect on their last day in Paris. As they posed for a photo in front of the Pont des Arts, he surprised Tina with the ring he bought the night before and asked her to marry him. An overjoyed Tina said yes!
HUES SHE USED: Tina and Albert were inspired by Hotel Saint Cecilia. They thought the hues were just right because they aligned with the couple’s favorite colors. Choosing the color scheme of black, white and gold with bold turquoise and red accents along with lots of greenery was easy.
DELICIOUS DISHES: Pink Avocado Catering did a fabulous job providing a wide selection of the couple’s favorite foods. Passed appetizers, heavy appetizers and a variety of desserts were served, including a build-your-own s’mores bar!
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Tina and Albert dated long distance for nine years before they lived in the same city, and by the date of the wedding, they had been together for over 10 years. After the ceremony, Tina was so overwhelmed and full of joy that they were finally married that she broke down in happy tears! Albert pulled out some tissues from his pocket to dry them.
