Afton Dean and Travers Pinkerton’s Organic Urban Austin Wedding at Brazos Hall
Afton and Travers met during college while overseas on a summer mission trip. After a summer of friendship, the two decided to give dating a try when they returned home. Travers pulled off the perfect surprise when it was time to propose to Afton. Travers tricked Afton into thinking that it was his sister’s birthday party, complete with a sign saying Happy Birthday Maggie and catering all set up! Travers took her down to the cliffs by the lake where they were supposedly having the party. Little to Afton’s knowledge, a photographer was hiding in the bushes and their friends and family were waiting up at the venue for a different celebration. As Travers proposed, Afton was shocked and totally surprised, still thinking it was his sister’s birthday party. She says it was the best way to say Yes! The couple had a semi-destination wedding in the heart of Austin. The ceremony was held at Central Christian Church followed by a reception at Brazos Hall. Afton says the most memorable part of her day was being filled with so much emotion and excitement walking down the aisle to Travers, something she will never forget.
