From the photographer, Nikk Nguyen Photo: “The real centerpiece of this styled shoot was the incredible Justine’s Secret House. This private venue has built mystique through its exclusivity, but, behind the gates, it’s an amazing Victorian building with an intimate courtyard. To take advantage of its inimitable atmosphere, we decided to design a modern wedding with bright and creative elements. We wanted to embrace the moody, bistro vibes and colors of Justine’s Secret House, and juxtapose them with modern altar, patterns, place settings, and stationery. One of the stand-out elements of the styling here was the fabulous Feathers and Frosting wedding cake! It was frosted to look like a painting of flowers, and the colors perfectly chimed with the real blooms in vibrant oranges and pinks. It was the perfect contrast to the dark and historical elements of Justine’s Secret House. The most triumphant moment of contrast, though, was the ceremony site – a neon triangle altar in the midst of the courtyard!”
