Intimate Boho Austin Wedding from Westcott Weddings | Brittany + Federico

THE LOVE STORY: Brittany’s good friend showed her a photo of Federico, her very handsome friend from Milan, and encouraged Brittany to add him on Facebook. They wrote each other a few messages but knew they couldn’t possibly have a future together; he lived in Italy and she was 6,000 miles away in Los Angeles. That all changed when they met at a friend’s wedding. Within 48 hours, Fede informed his family he would be moving to the U.S. to be with Brittany. He resigned from his position at work and moved when his contract expired six months later.

WEDDING INSPIRATION: Brittany and Fede wanted a wedding that was reminiscent of an intimate backyard dinner party. It was important to Brittany to incorporate family heirlooms into the day such as her great-grandmother’s Depression glass along with personal pieces she collected since childhood. Starting with the details, the romantic and dreamy bohemian theme unfolded.

SPECIAL DETAILS: Vignette furniture, plates, candelabras, blankets and more were brought in through Brittany’s business, Birch & Brass Vintage Rentals. In fact, the dessert table, round tables and chairs were just about the only items the couple didn’t bring in through Birch & Brass.

SAVORY SWEETS: Brittany, never a fan of cakes, had Fede and a friend choose the flavors of the tiers as she worked with Sweet Treets Bakery on the design. The groom’s cake was technically her cake, a delicious confection of layered chocolate chip cookies.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: As Brittany and Fede sat down for their first meal as a married couple, they looked around at all of their family and friends from California and Italy celebrating their love together. Sharing their new city and their new life with their loved ones was by far the most memorable aspect of the day.

VENDOR LOVE: Ellen Westcott of Westcott Weddings not only stayed calm and collected throughout the entire night but also made sure each detail was perfectly placed as the couple had envisioned. Brittany was able to remain stress-free all thanks to Ellen and cannot praise her enough for exceeding expectations with every detail.
