Week after week, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across Austin, all courtesy of the immensely talented wedding vendors and wonderful couples who submit to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one standout celebration to highlight, a wedding that rises above the rest for its beauty, intention, and timeless appeal.

For Marilyn and Isaac, their October wedding day was the perfect balance of elegance, personality, and meaningful tradition. Designed in a soft palette of layered blues, their celebration felt both refined and inviting, with every detail thoughtfully curated to reflect their story.

With planning and design by Simply Xo Events, the day unfolded seamlessly from start to finish. From the moment guests arrived, they were welcomed into a setting that blended classic design with personal touches. A custom escort display styled with rows of books and framed memories set the tone, while lush florals in soft whites, buttery yellows, and delicate hints of blue brought a romantic warmth to the day. Rentals from Premiere Events, including linens, tables, and glassware, elevated the reception space with a polished yet approachable look. Inside, long tables dressed in patterned linens and topped with airy arrangements created a setting that felt both elevated and inviting, complemented by glowing greenery installations overhead.

Marilyn’s fashion moments were equally unforgettable, with beauty by Lola Beauty enhancing her timeless bridal look. She began the day in a classic gown before changing into a traditional manthrakodi saree for the reception, honoring her South Indian heritage in a way that felt both intentional and deeply personal. One of the most meaningful parts of the day was the thaali ceremony, where Isaac tied a sacred necklace around Marilyn’s neck, symbolizing their unbreakable union. These traditions added a layer of depth to the celebration, seamlessly woven into the modern design of the day.

The culinary experience was just as thoughtfully curated. Guests enjoyed beautifully crafted bites from Soho Events, along with a stunning cake from Michelles Patisserie that served as both a focal point and a sweet ending to the evening. Later, a gelato cart from Dolce Bacio Gelato added a playful and memorable touch, inviting guests to indulge and linger a little longer.

Among their favorite memories was their first dance, a moment they had spent weeks preparing for together. In the midst of busy wedding planning, practicing their choreography became a pause in time, allowing them to simply enjoy each other’s company. That quiet intention carried into the reception, where they surprised guests with a beautifully performed dance that felt as joyful as it was heartfelt.

Marilyn and Isaac’s wedding is a reminder that the most memorable celebrations are the ones that feel true to you, where thoughtful design meets meaningful tradition, and every moment is created with intention.
