Each month, our editorial team selects one standout celebration to highlight — a wedding that rises above the rest for its beauty, intention, and timeless appeal.
This month we’re highlighting Kevin and Todd’s wedding at Cactus Moon Lodge that took place on November 1, 2025. Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, it offers a blend of desert-inspired minimalism and rugged natural beauty—the perfect canvas for Kevin and Todd’s vibrant, intentional celebration.
The Design: Modern Meets Organic
Kevin and Todd leaned into the lodge’s natural aesthetic, opting for a palette that felt both earthy and elevated. Working with Loot Rentals and Premiere Events, they transformed the ceremony space into a desert-chic sanctuary; neutral woven rugs and potted cacti lined the aisle, while sleek fringed umbrellas kept guests comfortable under the Texas sun. The altar itself was a standout, featuring a circular design grounded by lush, asymmetrical floral pillars.
The reception continued the theme with textured details and a grounded atmosphere. Dark wood tables, bistro-style chairs, and burlap runners allowed the vibrant floral centerpieces to truly pop, while strung bistro lights added a warm, intimate glow as the sun dipped behind the hills.
The Style: A Study in Sophistication
The grooms looked impeccably dapper in coordinated, yet distinct, tailored suits. One chose a rich, textured plum-burgundy with a sage green vest, while the other opted for a deep forest green three-piece suit. Their looks were tied together with bespoke floral boutonnieres that mirrored the organic, wild feel of the day’s arrangements.
The Surprise: Beer Burros
Nothing says a Texas party quite like a visit from Hill Country Jennies! The beer burros were a huge hit during cocktail hour, providing both refreshments and the ultimate photo op for guests.
The Heart of the Day
While the design and details were stunning, the true highlight for Kevin and Todd happened at the altar. Their favorite moment of the entire day was the surreal experience of seeing all their loved ones in one place during the ceremony. Looking out from their circular floral stage and seeing a sea of supportive faces against the vast Hill Country horizon made the “I do” moment feel even more powerful.
