SWEET BEGINNINGS: Laurel and Austin happened to go to the same high school together but didn’t cross paths until they were introduced through mutual friends.
SWEET PROPOSAL: Austin planned a surprise road trip for the pair to travel to Marfa, Texas. He told Laurel to pack a bag and handed her a map with the destination circled. The couple stayed at El Cosmico in a baby blue Airstream. At sunset, he told Laurel to scout a good scene for pictures and when he met up with her he proposed!
DESERT CHIC: Laurel and Austin fell in love with Marfa during their engagement so they decided to incorporate the terrain of West Texas into their wedding using hues of tan, blush, mocha, off-white and light grey.
AMAZING ALTAR: The altar was simple but stunning. Loot Vintage Rentals supplied a copper installation covered with beautiful dried florals handpicked by their florist that hung against a stone wall.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Laurel carried a modest sized hand-tied bouquet with a gathered, organic feel incorporating a lot of texture and some whimsy. A primarily neutral palette of greens, creams, and browns with hints of soft pink to include a floral selection of desert-inspired grasses, accents of small air plants, green kangaroo paw, scabiosa pods, foliage, dried floral elements and other seasonal ingredients.
