Intimate Organic Austin Wedding at Ma Maison | Emily + Mason

PERFECT PROPOSAL: After celebrating their 10-year anniversary, Mason gave Emily a beautiful framed map of the world with pins to mark the places they had visited. He told her they would soon add their first pin. Soon after on a long work day for Emily, Mason instructed her to pack her bags. He surprised her with their first pin on the map: a trip to Venice, Italy. Mason scheduled a romantic gondola ride around the canals of Venice. They then took a private water taxi to San Giorgio Maggiore Island where Mason popped the question against the beautiful backdrop of Venice. Following the unforgettable engagement, Emily and Mason celebrated with family and friends at a surprise engagement party. Emily felt overwhelmed by the fairytale proposal and couldn’t be more excited to spend the rest of her life with the boy she had loved since she was just 13 years old!

THE SETTING: Ma Maison was the perfect venue for the couple as it created the perfect setting for a comfortable, intimate wedding including a charming view of the scenic Lac Moise. Emily and Mason chose to have their ceremony in The Grove, which is nestled under a grove of live oak trees accompanied by a beautiful stone altar dressed in greenery and florals. The couple’s romantic reception was held in the Great Hall, which has beautiful wooden beams and crystal chandeliers to add to the ambiance.

DELICIOUS DISHES: Royal Fig Catering spoiled the couple’s guests with delicious food, tasty drinks and incredible service. The meal included a New York strip steak and quail served family-style with Brussels sprouts, duck fat roast potatoes, house-made bacon, brie, and date mac-and-cheese. The open bar served the couple’s signature drink, Blackberry Sangria (an absolute hit), and a hot chocolate station complete with marshmallows and traditional Irish mugs to end the night.

VENDOR LOVE: Photography was a priority to Emily and Mason, and they were delighted by the services Kelly with Mint Photography provided. Kelly was able to capture the sweetest moments from their magical day. Kelly exceeded Emily’s expectations and was an absolute joy to work with. Emily and Mason will always cherish the stunning photographic images Kelly was able to provide.
